In Sunday's segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) we explained why Adobe’s entry into the AI game is different. The reason is can do this is because Adobe is training its AI on Adobe Stock images which it has the rights to. This puts Adobe is a stronger ethical and legal position
Lenovo and Motorola Rollables - I've seen the future! - MWC23 Report
Yes, I've seen the future and it's rollable.
In this video I'll show you how Lenovo and Motorola are 'on a roll' with their concept devices this year.
I had a chance to play with one of the rollables at Mobile World Congress and I was more than impressed.
I know they are concept devices but they appeared to me at least - very advanced - and I would like to think are closer to reality than many may think.

In Sunday's segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) we exclusively revealed the results to date of WA Police using Apple’s CarPlay on patrol. Police only need to use voice commands thanks to Motorola Solutions core application. Using CarPlay and SIRI has cut down the amount of paperwork officers are required to do per shift which means more time on the streets. I saw the demo firsthand at Motorola Solutions HQ this week. WA Police has been using the system for more than a year and in this segment I can tell you exclusively what the results are.
Image Matrix Tech on Sky News: WING reveals future network plans - New MG EVs - HTC Vive boosts VR - IIIF150 Rugged Phones
In Sunday's segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) we discussed why Drone delivery service - WING - is introducing a new system that could speed up the expansion of home delivery by air. WING is introducing a Delivery Network - which means the drones can take orders as they come in like a ride-share service. Instead one home base, drones can pick up from many locations, using a new autoloader that means retail staff don’t have to wait for a drone. WING plans to roll out elements of Wing Delivery Network capabilities over the next 12 months. This could be the key for deliveries by drone to take the next step towards mainstream adoption.

Samsung S23 ULTRA - 8K video testing in Sydney
The new Samsung Galaxy 23 Ultra now shoots 8K video in 30p, up from 24p. As you will see in this video, the S23 Ultra is on a tripod but it also does some panning and tilting without missing a beat. On a bright, sunny afternoon on Sydney Harbour the 8K is outstanding for a smartphone. The field of view is wider too but not quite wide enough to get the tallest building in shot. Although YouTube may not do it justice, the original files have no banding in the blue sky or artefacts in the water movement. Overall, this is impressive. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Sydney Lightning Storm shot on Sony a7S III
Hard to show on a phone but this is the Sydney Lightning Storm 1am Wed from Maroubra headland. The light show off the coast was amazing - strike after strike after strike.
Shot this with Sony a7s iii with Tamron 28-200 2.8-5.6 on some insane ISO. Best viewed on a big screen. That’s when you notice the silhouette of a person/s on the cliffs.
Also the last shot is a track of a plane. They would have had a great view ⚡️

In Sunday's segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Jaynie Seal) we took a look at the latest round of layoffs by Google’s parent company Alphabet. The tech industry has already seen tens of thousands let go over recent months so what does that mean for consumers? The tech giants went on a hiring blitz during the pandemic - for good reason - but with a recession looming and profits reducing, staff numbers are being reduced. However … there’s one company that’s not shedding staff like the others.
