While the X-H2S is built for fast action, the X-H2 is built for resolution in stills and video thanks to a back-illuminated 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and the high-speed X-Processor 5.

Apple announced four new iPhones today (iPhone 14 | iPhone 14 Plus | iPhone 14 Pro | iPhone 14 Pro Max) but as always it’s the cameras that grab the attention of Image Matrix Tech - so this story is all about the pro line. The iPhone 14 Pro breaks free from the 12MP tradition in the main camera for the first time. Apple has long held firm on tweaking its 12MP sensors - with great results mind you - but this is a big move that will see more changes in coming devices .. hopefully a periscope zoom.

LastPass - one of the world’s biggest password managers - has 25 million users worldwide, including many Australians. I am one of them. So what do we do? The company said there was no evidence that this incident involved any access to customer data or encrypted password vaults. While embarrassing - LastPass deserves credit for being upfront about the incident. The system is working normally.

In Sunday's segment on Sky News Australia (Weekend Edition with Tim Gilbert) took a look at Samung’s new QD-OLED TV, S95B. Samsung is the world’s biggest TV company and by re-entering the OLED market it will force downward pressure on prices on traditional OLED models.

I spent some time with the 65 inch S95B this week and it’s easily the best TV that Samsung makes. It uses QD-OLED technology which combines Quantum Dot and OLED for an ever better picture result than normal OLED sets.

We showed a public safety demo that looked like something out of a Jason Bourne movie. . Motorola Solutions put on the demo to show how security cameras and police work together to solve crimes and respond to disasters. Using body cameras and the latest CCTV cameras they showed how a team in a control room can track down criminals in real time and communicate effectively with first responders. All the relevant video is saved for evidence.

The operation is very slick and much busier that I had expected. I pushed to shoot as much as I could and they were pretty good about it. I spent A day and a bit in Canberra so it was a race to get everything done but hopefully you'll get good idea of what it takes to delivery by drone.

It’s special because most big telescopes have a big mirror but the Huntsman is using off-the-shelf Canon lenses to better understand galaxy lifecycles - ahead of our collision with the Andromeda Galaxy in 4.5 billion years. These lenses are usually used for sport and wildlife photography. Comprising an array of 10 commercially available Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 L IS II super-telephoto lenses, the Huntsman Telescope is the only telescope of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Australia plays an important role in documenting the southern sky and this project is being overseen by the team from Macquarie University.

Telstra’s Blue Tick program is way more important than I first thought. The way we hold a smartphone could prove the difference between making a call or having no signal at all. It’s just one of the many tests inside the lab. It could make the difference on highways or farms by kilometres. And that’s a safety issue.
